Inventory of Business Licenses

Any individual or legal entity that intends to operate an internet service business provided to any individual, entity, and organization. The internet service provider is a kind of telecommunication service that provides internet access to customers with a wired or wireless connection. There are 3 types of licenses:
- Type 1: is a license for an Internet service provider with its own network, and it can provide services across the country.
- Type 2: is a license for an internet service provider with or without its own network, and it can be served in any province/city.
- Type 3: is a license for an internet service provider with or without its own network, and it can be provided in any district.

1. Have an application form, a feasibility study and other documents as determined by the Post, Telecommunication and Communications Sector;
2. Have staff with sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience related to the work;
3. In the case of the use of telecommunication resources and/or telecommunication networks, it has to obtain the license from the Postal, Telecommunication and Communications Sector;
4. Shall not be during the seize assets, bankruptcy process, or be convicted as a bankrupt under the laws of Lao PDR;
5. Shall comply with other qualifications defined by the Post, Telecommunication, and Communication Sector.

Before the issuance of a permanent license, a temporary license will be issued for a period of 1 year, and the permanent one will be issued after at least 60% of the business plan is completed.
